The Ceremony of Changing The Guard at Buckingham Palace

Green Park - a short walk throuh the Green Park.

Victoria - a short walk up Buckingham Palace Road past the Royal Mews and The Queen's Gallery.

The Changing of The Guard at Buckingham Palace takes place on alternate days at 11.30 in the forecourt of the Palace and takes about an hour. The standing guard forms up before handing over to the new guard.

For the best views, get there early and stand at the railings in front of the Palace or by the Victoria Memorial.

The guard house, where the standing guard form up is to the left of the Palace as you look at it.

There is no ceremony in extremely wet weather.
