The Queen's House, Greenwich, London
The Queen's House now houses a few pieces of period furniture and a fine collection of art belonging to the National maritime Museum. The Queen's House was probably the first neo-classical building in Britain. The building was completed in 1616. An unusual feature is the centrally unsupported spiral staircase, that was the first in Britain. Open daily 10.00 to 17.00 Entrance Free Tel: 020 8312 6565 Web: www. nmm.ac.uk
