The Wellington Arch was designed as a grand entrance to London from the west. There are three levels within the arch itself containing many exhibits detailing many of London's well known memorials and statues.

You can visit the exterior environs of the Wellington Arch, designed by Decimus Burton, free of charge. There are a number of interesting war memorials on the surrounding (traffic) island.
