Westminster Abbey was consecrated in 1065 and has seen the coronations of most English monarchs since then, as well as being their burial site. Famously the first televised coronation of Queen Elizabeth II was beamed around the world from here in 1953.

Areas of interest within Westminster Abbey are the Cloisters, Chapter House and the funereal effigies of England's Kings and Queens.
